To direct the President to impose sanctions against foreign persons determined to have knowingly engaged in significant corruption in Mexico, and for other purposes.

This bill requires the President to impose visa- and property-blocking sanctions on foreign persons (individuals or entities) that knowingly engage in certain acts of corruption in Mexico. Such corruption includes bribery, extortion, acts of violence against corruption investigators, and involvement in illicit fentanyl production or distribution.

Referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and in addition to the Committee on the Judiciary, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
