District of Columbia Government Accountability Office Home Rule Act
This bill removes the authority of the Government Accountability Office (GAO) over the District of Columbia government.
The bill repeals requirements requiring the GAO to (1) audit the accounts and operations of the District government; (2) assist congressional committees in assessments of program evaluations prepared by and for the District government; (3) deliver any part of a report where the District is the subject of that report; and (4) recommend, and receive a response concerning, an action of the District government.
