Sarah Grace-Farley-Kluger Act

Parental Bereavement Act of 2021 or the Sarah Grace-Farley-Kluger Act

This bill entitles an eligible employee to up to 12 workweeks of leave during any 12-month period because of the death of a son or daughter.

Such an employee may substitute any available paid leave for any leave without pay.

The bill applies the same leave entitlement to federal employees.

Referred to the Committee on Education and Labor, and in addition to the Committees on Oversight and Reform, and House Administration, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
