United States and Republic of Korea Alliance Support Act

This bill prohibits the Department of Defense (DOD) from reducing below 22,000 the number of active-duty servicemembers deployed to South Korea unless DOD makes specified certifications, including that such a reduction is in the interest of national security.

Referred to the Committee on Armed Services, and in addition to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
