Pregnant Women Health and Safety Act of 2020
This bill imposes criminal penalties—a fine, a prison term of up to two years, or both—on a physician who performs an abortion without admitting privileges to a local hospital or fails to comply with certain notification requirements.
A woman who receives an abortion in violation of this bill may not be prosecuted.
