Authorization for Use of Military Force against the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant - Authorizes the President to use appropriate force against the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) to prevent terrorist attacks against the people and interests of the United States and our allies.
States that this resolution: (1) does not authorize the use of rotational ground forces, (2) expires in three years, and (3) is intended to constitute specific statutory authorization pursuant to section 5(b) of the War Powers Resolution.
