Nicholas and Zachary Burt Memorial Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention Act of 2019
This bill directs the Consumer Product Safety Commission to award grants to states and tribal organizations to install carbon monoxide alarms in the homes of low-income families and older adults and facilities that commonly serve children or older adults. Such carbon monoxide alarms must comply with specified standards.

Such carbon monoxide alarms must comply with specified standards.

This bill directs the Consumer Product Safety Commission to award grants to states and tribal organizations to install carbon monoxide alarms in (1) the homes of low-income families and older adults, (2) facilities that commonly serve children or older adults, and (3) student-housing units at public universities. Such carbon monoxide alarms must be compliant with the standard established by the National Fire Protection Association in 2012.
