Sustainable Municipal Access to Resilient Technology in Infrastructure Act or the SMART Infrastructure Act
This bill directs a state or locality that receives funds from the Federal Highway Administration, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), or the Department of Agriculture (USDA) to require open and free competition among suppliers of construction materials.
The Department of Transportation, the EPA, the Corps of Engineers, and USDA shall establish an interagency task force to issue a comprehensive report on federally funded infrastructure projects.
