Supporting Kinship Connections Act
This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services to provide grants for developing, enhancing, or evaluating kinship navigator programs. Such programs help grandparents and other relative caregivers find and use services to meet the needs of the caregivers and the children they are raising. Program requirements include a referral system for kinship support groups and service providers and the promotion of partnerships between public and private agencies to improve such services.
