Green Transportation Act
This bill requires states and metropolitan planning organizations to include greenhouse gas reductions in their long-range transportation plans and transportation improvement programs.
Each metropolitan planning organization must biennially submit to the Department of Transportation (DOT) the standardized models and methodologies it uses to measure and monitor transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions.
DOT must create a public clearinghouse of such models and methodologies.
