Occupation of Guam Remembrance Act
This bill directs the National Park Service (NPS) of the Department of the Interior to maintain the memorial wall of the War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Guam.
The bill requires the NPS to:
- notify Guam's Delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives and the Governor of Guam of any proposed revisions or additions to the wall at least one month in advance,
- add specified names to the wall,
- respond to specified claims submitted to the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission under the Guam World War II Loyalty Recognition Act, and
- publish the names listed on the memorial wall on a public website.
The NPS shall convey to Guam approximately one acre of identified federal land for public use.
