Kettle Creek Battlefield Survey Act

The Department of the Interior shall conduct a reconnaissance survey of the site of the Kettle Creek Battlefield in Wilkes County, Georgia, and adjacent property.

In conducting the survey, Interior shall evaluate the likelihood that resources within the site boundary would meet the four following criteria for new parklands:

  • national significance,
  • suitability,
  • feasibility, and
  • need for National Park Service management.

Kettle Creek Battlefield Study Act

This bill directs the Department of the Interior to conduct a special resource study of the site of the Kettle Creek Battlefield in Wilkes County, Georgia, and the property adjacent to the battlefield.

Interior shall evaluate the national significance of the site and determine the suitability and feasibility of designating it as a unit of the National Park System.
