A bill to prohibit the construction of certain elements of a physical barrier along the southern border of the United States in Federal wildlife and wilderness areas and on State land.

This bill prohibits the use of any federal funds for the design or construction of any levee wall, steel-bollard fence, or other wall within or on

  • a unit of the National Wildlife Refuge System;
  • a unit of the National Wilderness Preservation System;
  • a wildlife corridor, as determined by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; or
  • land owned or under the jurisdiction of a state, unless an appropriate authority of that state approves the construction.
