To prohibit the Secretary concerned from discouraging the inspection of military housing for lead-based paint or other sources of lead, and for other purposes.

This bill prohibits the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security (regarding the Coast Guard) from discouraging the inspection of military-owned, government-controlled, and privately leased family housing for lead-based paint or sources of lead.

Testing may be authorized when it is not otherwise required by law.
