Preventing Swatting and Protecting our Communities Act of 2018 or the Andrew T. Finch Memorial Act of 2018
This bill makes it a crime to intentionally convey false or misleading information that (1) may reasonably be expected to cause an emergency response, and (2) indicates the occurence of criminal conduct or a threat to health or safety. A violator is subject to criminal and civil penalties.
