Authorization of Use of Force Against Iran Resolution
This joint resolution authorizes the President to use the U.S. Armed Forces as necessary in order to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Congress declares that this authorization is intended to constitute specific statutory authorization within the meaning of the War Powers Resolution and that nothing in this joint resolution supersedes any requirement of such resolution.
Not later than 60 days after the date on which the President exercises the authority described in this resolution and every 60 days thereafter, the President shall report to Congress on the specific actions taken pursuant to such authority.
