Stop Waste in Government Contracting Act of 2017
This bill requires executive agencies to use competitive procedures for procurement contracts valued at $10 million or more, with a national security exception.
The Inspector General of the General Services Administration must report to Congress:
- on updating the Federal Procurement Data System and data stored on it during the preceding 10-year period,
- identifying any issues of each agency relating to the use of such system that may have affected the reliability of data stored on it,
- detailing which data is potentially unreliable, and
- including recommendations for improving the system.
