Robocall Enforcement Enhancement Act of 2018
This bill amends the Communications Act of 1934:
- to lengthen the statute of limitations from two years to three years for pursuing caller identification information violations (known as "spoofing"),
- to lengthen the statute of limitations from one year to three years for pursing automated telephone equipment violations (known as "robocalls"), and
- to authorize the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to impose forfeiture penalties without first sending a citation regarding the charged violation against persons not licensed by the FCC who violate prohibitions on the use of automated telephone equipment.
