Unaccompanied Alien Children Placement Transparency Act of 2017
This bill amends the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 to require the Department of Health and Human Services or the Department of Homeland Security to provide the following information to the governor and each appropriate agency of a state within 60 days after the custodial placement in such state of an unaccompanied alien child who is in federal custody by reason of the child's immigration status:
- the child's medical records if the child will be attending state public schools,
- the custodian's address and immigration status,
- any federal public benefit that the child will receive, and
- any federal public benefit that the custodian will receive as a result of such custody.
