Protecting Rights Online To Ensure Consumers' Trust (PROTECT) of 2015
This bill amends the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to prohibit the federal government from sharing an individual's personally identifiable information, including health information collected through a health insurance exchange, with a non-governmental entity for marketing purposes, including for the marketing of health insurance coverage.
Personally identifiable information includes an individual's name, social security number, date and place of birth, or biometric, medical, educational, financial, or employment records.What just happenedFeb 6, 2015
