Protections Against Terrorist Transfer Act of 2016
This bill amends the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 to prohibit the use of funds made available to the Department of Defense (DOD) or to any other U.S. government entity to transfer, release, or assist in the transfer or release of any individual detained at Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to the custody or control of any foreign country or other foreign entity unless DOD certifies to Congress that the individual no longer poses a threat to the security of the United States, its citizens, and its interests.
