National Security Whistleblower Protection Act of 2016
This bill extends personnel protections to whistleblowers by classifying the suspension or revocation of access to classified information as a personnel action. This classification also applies to employees of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The Inspector General of the Department of Defense shall report to Congress on allegations of retaliation against whistleblowers whose access to classified information was suspended or revoked.
