Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to provide that the reasonable cost of physical, occupational, speech, or other therapy services shall be based on a reasonable rate per unit of service, plus expenses, rather than on a reasonable salary paid for such services.
Removes the $100 limitation on "outpatient physical therapy services" furnished to an individual while an inpatient of a hospital or extended care facility.
