Veterans Care and Reporting Enforcement Act
This bill requires the Inspector General (IG) of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), in the case of an investigation involving patient health and safety relating to VA hospital care or medical services, to:
- provide a copy of the IG's report to Congress and to the Member of Congress in whose district the VA facility is located;
- within three days make the report available on the IG's website for at least one year; and
- in the case of an investigation of a medical facility, post a notice of the investigation at an appropriate place and on the facility's website for at least 30 days.
