- Amendment sought to provide $10 million for the John R. Justice Prosecutors and Defenders program by reducing the funding for NASA's Mars Next Decade program by a similar amount.
- Purpose
- An amendment to add a new section for the "Department of Justice, State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance" for the John R. Justice Prosecutors and Defenders program, as authorized by the first section 3001 of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968. The amendment says the amount otherwise provided by this Act for the "National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Science" for Mars Next Decade is hereby reduced by $10,000,000.
