- Purpose
- To provide that amounts deducted by any Member for living expenses with respect to any taxable year shall not exceed an amount which results in a reduction of Federal income tax of more than $5,000 for that Member; and that no later than May 15 of each calendar year each Member of Congress, including nonvoting delegates, shall cause to appear in the Congressional Record a copy of any and all Federal tax returns filed by himself of herself, either separately or jointly filed.
