- Amendment allows individuals to import a prescription drug that appears to be FDA approved and manufactured pursuant to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and does not appear to be a narcotic.
- Purpose
- An amendment to prohibit use of funds in the bill for the purpose of preventing an individual who is not in the business of importing prescription drugs from importing drugs that (1) appear to be FDA approved; (2) do not appear to be narcotic drugs; and (3) appear to be manufactured, prepared, propagated, compounded, or processed in an establishment pursuant to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
