Amendment97th Congress
An amendment to strike the congressional review and veto of state's disapproval of sites for storage of nuclear waste. This permits states to disapprove sites. The amendment also requires the passage of a resolution by the Congress to disapprove sited for federally provided interim storage facilities; thus giving the states the right to disapprove such site, subject to congressional review.
