Amendment97th Congress
An amendment to provide for a moratorium on FTC regulation of professionals. The amendment prohibits the FTC from issuing regulations regarding state regulated professions until Congress provides that the FTC has such authority, that such authority preempts the state authority issued after May 28, 1981 shall be void. This moratorium is not to affect the activities of the Attorney General under the Sherman Act or the Clayton Act. The amendment provides a definition of "professional".
