An amendment to change the provisions for a study by the Office of Technology Assessment. The amendment strikes the language in the bill that requires the OTA to conduct a study of the public facilities or infrastructure essential to the defense industrial base and to submit a report to Congress at the beginning of each Congress. It substitutes that a study may be made with the consent of the Technology Assessment Board with the purpose of submitting one report to Congress on recommendations for infrastructure measures to avoid serious impediments to production and distribution of materials.
