Amendment97th Congress
An amendment to the Solomon amendment. It strikes all after the first word and adds a new text. The amendment requires that in order to receive a loan, grant, or work assistance under title IV of the Higher Education Act persons must register for the draft and file a statement with the institution in which he is applying for assistance that he has registered. The Secretary of Education and the Director of the Selective Service may work out procedures to verify such statements.
