A substitute amendment to the Schroeder amendment. The amendment limits payment to former spouses of former members of the uniformed services to pay from retirement pay and retainer pay in cases of divorces, annulments, separations or property settlements pursuant to such occurrences. The amendment permits direct payment to those designated in the decrees or settlements. Written notice must be made to the Selective Service on methods for collecting forms necessary for registration.
