An amendment to state that in furnishing U.S. assistance to Turkey, Greece, and Cyprus the President should take into account whether they are helping to promote peaceful settlement of the Cyprus dispute. It stipulates that a peaceful solution to the conflict should entail the withdrawal of all foreign troops from the Republic of Cyprus and provide opportunity of return of Cypriot refugees to their homes.
