An amendment to reduce funds for the construction categories of the bill: Army, from 1,029,519,000 dollars to 1,009,276,400 dollars; Navy, from 1,404,883,000 dollars to 1,345,096,100 dollars; Air Force, from 1,407,565,000 dollars to 1,373,940,000 dollars; Defense Agencies from 251,004,000 dollars to 245,382,000 dollars; Army National Guard, from 62,925,000 dollars to 60,131,950 dollars; Air National Guard, from 117,740,000 dollars to 112,531,000 dollars; Army Reserve, from 59,227,000 dollars to 56,803,150 dollars; Naval Reserve, from 36,000,000 dollars to 34,345,000 dollars; Air Force Reserve, from 37,400,000 dollars to 35,855,000 dollars. And it removes wages paid laborers and mechanics from funds in this bill from the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act if their contract is entered into after enactment of this act.
