- Purpose
- To express the sense of the Senate that the policy of the United States should be to immediately provide such additional equipment, arms, and ammunition as will allow the armed forces of El Salvador to provide needed protection to the Salvadoran people both at the runoff election and in their daily lives, and ultimately to so suppress guerrilla terrorism as to make possible the revival of economic activity with El Salvador.
