- To express the sense of the Senate that the President should 1) provide maximum protection for the U.S. forces in Lebanon, 2) vigorously pursue every possible avenue to facilitate the orderly transference of peacekeeping responsibility to the U.N. or other peacekeeping presence, and 3) prepare and transmit to Congress a report setting forth the measures he has taken to carry out 1) & 2).
