Amendment98th Congress
An amendment to strike the following provision to the section appropriating funds for the National Forest System: That the volume of lumber offered for sale on any national forest and the expenditures for that timber sale program may be increased over the level prevailing in the previous fiscal year only if estimated annual receipts, based on the actual bid values, are in excess of annual expenditures for timber sold in at least three of the preceding five years. The funds were to be appropriated for the National Forest System subject to the above stipulation.
