Amendment98th Congress
An amendment to require the SBA to conduct a study of loans of less than $50,000 made during 1983 and 1984. The report is to be submitted to Congress and is to include the size of the loans, characteristics of the recipients of the loans (number of employees, gross annual receipts, etc.), and the administrative cost of the loan. The report is to analyze the effectiveness of the loans for firms of less than 20 employees and needing loans of less than $50,000. Also it is to evaluate alternative ways of reducing costs of the loans and make suggestions to improving access to the loans.
