Amendment98th Congress
An amendment to establish one or more Demonstration Centers for Retraining of Dislocated Workers. A demonstration center is to arrange for programs that a) lead to employment in suitable jobs, b) generate a skilled workforce for emerging technologies and service industries, c) overcome basic educational disabilities, and d) utilize the full range of existing educational institutions. The amendment authorizes such sums as are necessary to carry out the program.
