Amendment98th Congress
An amendment to establish a National Medal of Arts to be awarded to individuals or groups in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the arts. Funding for the medal will come from funds available to the National Endowment for the Arts. The award is to be made by the President on the basis of recommendations made by the National Council on the Arts. Not more than 12 per year are to be made.
