Amendment98th Congress
An amendment revising Section 109 Militarily Critical Technologies. The amendment requires that any disagreement between Secretaries of Commerce and Defense as to whether a good or technology should be integrated into the commodity control list shall be resolved by the President by November 1, 1984. The amendment leaves to the two Secretaries, not including GAO, the responsibility for reducing the list of militarily critical technologies. The Secretary of Defense shall establish a procedure for the reviewing the goods and technology on the list annually.
