An amendment strike the funding provisions in the bill for the Special Account for Adjustment Assistance and substitute appropriation provisions for adjustment assistance. It provides such sums as are necessary for FY'84 and FY'85 for Part I of the program and provides $172 million for FY'84 and $118 for FY'85 for Parts I and II. Also it limits to $27.5 million each year funds for adjustment assistance to firms under chapter III for FY'84 and FY'85.
