Amendment98th Congress
An amendment to the Pickle amendment to phase in changes affecting retirees who retire between the ages of 60 and 62 with at least 30 years of service. The amendment would allow employees who reach age 60 by 6/30/84, to retire under the conditions of the present Tier I system, and it would allow employees who reach age 60 by 12/31/85 and opt for early retirement, to have their Tier 1 benefit reduced by 10 percent rather than 20 percent as provided in the bill.
