An amendment to require the Secretary of Defense to take necessary step, consistent with military readiness, to reduce the number of permanent changes of station of members of the Air Force. The amendment lists the following steps that are to be included in this reduction of changes of station: 1) reduction to the minimum essential level the number of station changes required in the continental U.S., 2) extension of length of tours of duty overseas in locations other than those that do not allow for accompanied tours, and 3) reduction in the number of active duty military personnel stationed outside the continental U.S.
