An amendment to the Science and Technology amendment to replace the Committees Postsecondary Assistance Program with $20 million Science and Mathematics Teachers Development Program in each of FY'84 and FY'85. The program would help states and localities obtain qualified Science and Mathematics Teachers at Elementary and Secondary levels, particularly in areas of serious shortages of qualified teachers. States may use allocations to avoid scholarships.
