- Purpose
- To express the support of the Congress for the policy of the President that a US objective in arms negotiations with the USSR is to reverse the erosion of the AMB treaty, signed on May 26, 1972, and that the action by the Congress in approving funding for the Strategic Defense Initiative does not imply an intention to abrogate, violate, or otherwise abridge that treaty, or a commitment to develop, test or deploy any weapon in contravention of the treaty.
