- Purpose
- To authorize the Secretary of Education to sell defaulted student loans, to garnish the compensation payable to officers and employees of the United States who are borrowers of loans under part B or part F of title IV, who are in default, to garnish 25 percent of the benefits payable to borrowers of loans under part B or part F of title IV, who are in default, and to make any borrower who is in default ineligible for Federal loans and discretionary grants.
