An amendment to require that a cooperative study, by the House Committee on Agriculture and a grant institution, be conducted to examine the economic purpose of cattle futures trading, to determine whether the cattle futures market is subject to manipulation, and to determine the economic effect that such trading has on cattle producers and the beef industry.
