An amendment to replace the Availability Schedules mandated in the bill with the requirement that all depository institutions disclose their hold periods to their customers. It directs the Federal Reserve to publish within 18 months after the bill's enactment a regulation to improve the check clearing system which would then go into effect within 36 months after enactment.
