An amendment to require a study of the use of trucks for transportation of hazardous and nonhazardous substances. The study is to consider whether such joint use is to be prohibited and if permitted whether special safeguards should be required to minimize threats to public health and the environment. A report to Congress is required within 180 days of enactment of the bill.
